FC Twente will make an attempt to bring Eljero Elia back to the Eredivisie. The club from Enschede has officially reported to the wing attacker, that reports Football International.
Elia does not want to accept the offer of FC Twente for the time being. The 33-year-old attacker has informed the club that he will not listen to the plans until the season at Istanbul Basaksehir is finished. With the Turkish club he is still fighting for the league title and Basaksehir is also in the Europa League.
Elia has an expiring contract and will leave the Turkish club transfer-free next summer. The wing attacker has no complaints about interest. In January, the Argentinian Talleres was interested and Besiktas also looked for Elijah, but Basaksehir did not want to let him go anyway.
Sivasspor has also registered for the former FC Twente player, who can therefore return to the Netherlands or continue his career abroad.
