Baba Tandian mourns the disappearance of his “big brother” Abdoulaye Sèye Moreau. In a note received in Senego, the president of Saint-Louis Basket Club who expressed his condolences to the grieving family but also to the world of the Orange Ball, suggested that Dakar Arena be named after the late president of Fiba Monde.

“I would like to extend my condolences to the Basketball family following the disappearance of the great Abdoulaye Sèye Moreau, who disappeared forever this morning very early. A great loss for the world of basketball. A gentleman who served Basketball but also who sacrificed himself for Basketball in his country, Senegal and World Basketball. He is the first Senegalese to have directed world basketball, this deserves to be emphasized.
I would like, on behalf of Saint-Louis Basket Club, and in my own name, to send my sincere condolences to his family, to his sister Astou Sèye who is the first vice-president of Saint-louis Basket Club, to the mayor of Saint- Louis Mansour Faye, the entire population of Saint-Louis, the Basketball family, the President of the Basketball Federation and Basketball supporters.
May the earth be light to him, and may God have mercy on his soul.
