“He never apologized” – Andy Murray’s mother opens up to Boris Becker’s bitter advice

British star Andy Murray has won 3 Grand Slams over the course of his successful career. But it took a while before winning his first Grand Slam at the 2012 US Open. Before that victory, Murray reached 4 Grand Slam finals and people wondered if he would ever win one.

In 2011, Boris Becker talked about how he could have won a Grand Slam. And in that speech, he questioned the need for Andy’s mother, Judy Murray, to be present. In a recent interview, Judy talked about how this affected her. Look what he said.

Judy Murray on the advice of Boris Becker for Andy Murray

In a recent BBC interview, Andy Murray’s mother talked about Boris Becker’s comments and how he called him years later. She said,

“I’m not sure I’ll ever forgive Boris Becker for this. He never apologized, I don’t think he would ever understand how he made me feel. I called him a couple of years later. I thought it was right to let him know how much damage he had done by doing something like this. “

In the interview, he also talked about how he first discovered the comments and how he reacted when he saw it. She said,

“I just saw him on the road outside where I live, I went home. I haven’t been out for about three days and I really struggled with that. Boris Becker is such a big figure in tennis and I thought, “people will think they know what they’re talking about, they’ll think it’s my fault.”
