Fight between the Peruvian football team and the Spanish police

Moment of tension between Peruvian footballers and the Spanish police. Clashes broke out between the two camps. According to the police, the facts took place around 9.30 p.m. when the Peruvian national team, currently in Madrid to play a friendly match against Morocco, arrived at their hotel where 300 Peruvian fans were waiting for the players, some with bengal lights.

A police spokeswoman said “The supporters tried to approach the players and the police intervened between the supporters and the players in order to avoid a stampede”.

The Spanish police spokeswoman also added that“a player then hit a policeman at eye level”. The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated for its part that it was goalkeeper Pedro Gallese. This Tuesday morning, on Twitter, he indicated at the same time that “Pedro Gallese left the police station where he was heard recently, without being charged, and is back at the hotel of the selection”.
