Lewandowski saves Barcelona from losing against Inter in stoppage time

Well-known Polish striker Robert Lwendowski scored in the second minute of stoppage time to save Barcelona players from losing in the UEFA Champions League match.

“Barcelona” played a draw against Milan “Inter” with the result 3:3 (1:0) in the C subgroup game.

In the 40th minute of the first half, Usmans Dembele put the home team in the lead, but the opponents needed only five minutes in the second half to equalize with a goal scored by Niccolò Barrell.

In the 63rd minute, Lautaro Martinez made it 2:1 for Milan. The Barcelona team equalized the score again only in the 82nd minute, when Lewandowski scored his first goal in the match.

Irving Lozano put the hosts in the lead already in the fourth minute of the game, but in the 16th minute Giacomo Raspadori managed to double the advantage.

In the second half, “Ajax” reduced the deficit in the 49th minute, with an accurate shot by Davy Klaasen, but in the 62nd minute, Hviča Kvarcahelija restored the two-goal lead for the “Napoli” team.

In the 83rd minute, after successfully executing a penalty kick, Steven Bergwein made it 2:3, which was followed seven minutes later by an accurate shot into the “Ajax” goal, this time Viktor Osimen scored the goal (4:2).

Also in subgroup A, “Liverpool” defeated “Rangers” of Glasgow, winning 7:1 (1:1).

Scott Arfield scored the only goal for “Rangers” in the 17th minute. In the continuation of the game, “Liverpool” scored seven unanswered goals.

In the 24th minute, the result was equalized by Roberta Firmin, who put the English team in the lead in the 55th minute as well. In the continuation of the match, Mohamed Salah collected a hat-trick, while Darwin Nunes and Harvey Elliott each scored one ball in the opponent’s goal.

After four rounds of matches, the leader of subgroup A is “Napoli”, which has accumulated 12 points and secured the round of 16. Meanwhile, in subgroup D, “Sporting” Lisbon lost to “Olympique” Marseille with the result 0:2 (0:2), losing to the French team for the second time this season.

The home team was in the minority already in the 19th minute of the game, when Rikardus Esgai earned the second yellow card.

In the 20th minute, “Olympique” took the lead after a precise penalty kick by Mateo Genduzi, but in the 30th minute, Alexis Sanchez doubled the lead.

Meanwhile, in another subgroup game, the English club Tottenham Hotspur defeated Frankfurt am Main Eintracht 3:2 (3:1) at home.

In the 14th minute, Daichi Kamada scored for the visiting team, but in the continuation of the first half, “Hotspur” scored three goals in 17 minutes. In the 19th minute, Honmin Sons scored a draw, in the 28th minute, Harry Kane scored a penalty kick, and in the 36th minute, Honmin Sons scored the second goal of the match.

In the second half, in the 87th minute, Faride Alidu reduced the deficit, but it was not enough to fight for victory.

32 teams play in the main tournament of the UEFA Champions League. The two best teams of each subgroup will advance to the round of 16, while the third-placed team will continue their season in the UEFA Europa League knockout tournament.

“Real” Madrid beat “Liverpool” 1:0 in the final of the 2021/2022 season competition in Paris.
