In the first of the days that took place last year, the cadets and the heavyweight children entered the scene. They all fell in the first round, and the one who lasted the longest in his fight was Hugo Lomeña Molina in the -66 kilos cadet category.

The other components of our city’s squad were Adrián Muñoz Aranda -55Kg who also had a tough fight, he could not complete it, his opponent beat him to the victory. Ilias Salih -90Kg arrived right at the weigh-in, but he braved his opponent.

On Saturday’s day, only Juan Pablo Gallego at -73kg and Miguel Ángel Fernández at -66Kg had the chance to be caught, although they ultimately had no luck and were defeated. As for the second of the days, it was held on Sunday where the children opened the day with Izan Luque Trujillo in -55kg, and Aitana Muñoz Moreno -48kg, in women, she was winning by wazari and her opponent equaled her by wazari and then They gave him two penalties (shido) reaching the end to golden score (golden technique) where he won the opponent by two wazari. Afterwards, Bruno Nicolás in -38kg also reached the end of the fight, since it was three minutes away and reaching the golden technique, golden score, where the opponent also won by two wazari. Héctor Cruces in -50kg fell in the first round.

Rafael Rosa Robles in -60kg managed to overcome his opponent, who was seeded by the Balearic Islands, winning by wazari and after immobilizing his opponent for more than 15 seconds, winning by ippon and taking two shidos against him. He moved on to the second round.

In the second round the fight reached a golden technique, golden score, where the Basque opponent won after scoring a debatable wazari and after three terrible minutes of combat where he stood out for the Basque’s lack of initiative and having a long guard maintaining the left arm stretched out, not letting Rafa get closer and waiting for him on the counter to be able to beat him, since they gave two unfair shidos to the competitor from Melilla.

After all this, none of the competitors managed to reach more. But it should be noted that the level of this sport in our city is increasing and that no one from the Melilla team has returned injured and above all with their duty fulfilled after the good training sessions developed by each of the Melilla judokas who left They left the sports pavilion of our city as high as possible.
