La Bridiévale celebrates its 7th edition this year, on Sunday August 21, at the thermal park of Brides-les-Bains (Savoie). As every year, the event will take the form of a reconstruction of daily life in the Middle Ages with games, workshops to discover manual trades such as leather, weaving or even knitting. . There will be demonstrations of combat scenes, with introductions to the handling of the sword but also to archery.
A “medieval” meal
For this 7th edition, participants will discover “how the knights of the time took their bath” but also “everything you need to know about the sexuality of the time” explains the tourist office of Brides-les-Bains . On the program for the day: a parade of troops, combat scenes, old-time craft workshops, pony rides, a medieval craftsmen’s market, playful workshops at the mini-farm, a show “les Baths of the Knights”…
A menu will be offered on site on the medieval theme. It will be composed of ventrèche sausage, lentils, carrots, Savoie cheese and Jacquouille apple pie.
