Archers from Misiones travel to the province of Entre Ríos this weekend to compete in the Litoral Zone Regional Outdoor Archery Final. The competition runs on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, in the town of Oro Verde, located in the Paraná Department. This weekend, the delegation from the land of the red soil will seek its ticket to the National Outdoor Archery Final on Entre Ríos soil.
Organized by the Tiro con Arco Paraná club, the tournament takes place alongside three other regional finals across the country. These events serve as direct qualifiers for the National Outdoor Archery Final. Each of the four regions awards three direct qualification spots per zone and division. The 4 Regional Finals take place at the same time in the National territory, the same being of a qualifying character, granting three direct quotas to the National Final for each zone and modality. In total, 15 direct berths are available through regional podium finishes, while the remaining 25 spots for the national tournament will be distributed via the Unified National Ranking. In total there are 15 places corresponding to the first 3 places of the Regional Final of each zone, 25 places assigned through the Unified National Ranking.
Tiro con Arco Paraná confirmed a record entry of 115 archers for the Entre Ríos tournament, spanning 39 categories that include both conventional and adaptive divisions across all bow classes. The event brings together 26 clubs representing the provinces of Santa Fe, Chaco, Entre Ríos, and Misiones.
Two days of competition in Entre Ríos
The schedule at Oro Verde is split across two distinct competition days. Saturday, November 7, features the school categories, serving as the developmental feeder for the sport in the region. Sunday, November 8, shifts to the World Archery categories, where athletes compete directly for the qualification spots leading to the National Final. That national event is scheduled to take place from December 4 to December 6 in the province of Neuquén.
The Misionera Association of Archery sends athletes from the CAPRI club in Posadas and a club in Leandro N. Alem. Gonzalo Barthe and Florencia Kurtz travel as coaches for the CAPRI delegation, while Cindy Schöck participates as an independent tournament judge.
What remains open before the Neuquén national tournament
With regional finals unfolding simultaneously nationwide, the final composition of the Neuquén entry list remains unconfirmed until all regional podiums and the Unified National Ranking are finalized after the weekend. Misionero athletes aim to secure their places directly on the Litoral podium or accumulate enough points to claim one of the 25 ranking-based berths for the December championship.
