Four archers from the Argentine province of Misiones will compete this weekend in Paraná, Entre Ríos, at the Outdoor Regional Final, a meet that brings together 115 athletes and puts the season’s main regional titles on the line, Primera Edición reported. The delegation includes two teenagers from Clubes Asociados Progreso Rowing Independiente (CAPRI) and two more shooters from the Posadas area, all chasing regional crowns that would advance them in the national calendar.

Two CAPRI teenagers headline the delegation

Bruno Ignacio Rostán Vespa, 14, and Fabricio Williams, 16, will both shoot in Men’s Recurve Under 18, a category where they hope to add to strong seasons at the national level. Rostán Vespa arrives with the most decorated résumé: he is the only archer from Misiones currently on the Argentina national team, he won the national indoor title, and he sits at No. 1 in the Argentine ranking for Men’s Recurve Under 15. In Paraná he will compete a division above his ranking, with the regional title and preparation for the National Outdoor Championship as his stated goals, Primera Edición reported.

Williams, meanwhile, will look to repeat the form that earned him a bronze medal at the National Indoor Final. Both young archers are part of the Road to Los Angeles 2028 development program for young talents with international ambitions, and both have qualification for JADAR Junior 2027 among their next targets, where they hope to represent Misiones.

Pasaman Castillo and Szydloski complete the group

The CAPRI delegation also includes Sofía Pasaman Castillo, who will compete in Barebow Women. In her first year in the Senior category, she finished as national indoor runner-up and now aims to fight for the regional title and move on to the national outdoor stage. Coaches Gonzalo Barthe and Florencia Kurtz will accompany the three CAPRI shooters to Paraná.

Marcelo Szydloski, from the AMITA school, rounds out the Misiones group in Men’s Recurve. He arrives after winning his category at local ranking competitions during the season, results he hopes will carry him in the regional meet.

Regional title is the next step toward nationals

For all four shooters, the Paraná competition is a measuring stick against athletes from other provinces and a chance to advance in the national schedule. The Outdoor Regional Final in Paraná, Entre Ríos, serves as the gateway to the National Outdoor Championship, with the top regional performers positioning themselves for the national stage later in the season.
