Lakshya and Sindhu Lead India to Double Gold at 2026 Hylo Open

India finished atop the medal standings at the 2026 Hylo Open on November 2, claiming two titles through singles victories by Lakshya Sen and Pusarla V. Sindhu, according to tournament results confirmed by the Badminton World Federation.

Lakshya Sen and Pusarla V. Sindhu Secure Singles Victories

In the men’s singles final, Lakshya Sen defeated Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie 21-17, 21-10 in straight games. The victory gave Sen a three-match winning streak against Christie and marked his second Hylo Open title following a victory in 2019, ending an 11-month title drought.

In the women’s singles draw, Pusarla V. Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Line Højmark Kjaersfeldt 21-12, 21-14. The win moved Sindhu to 2-0 all-time against Kjaersfeldt, securing her second title of the season and the seventh BWF World Tour singles trophy of her career.

European and Indonesian Duos Claim Doubles Titles

Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard captured the men’s doubles title by defeating England’s Ben Lane and Sean Vendy 21-14, 21-18. The result marked the first time in six years that a Danish pair won the men’s event at the tournament.

In women’s doubles, Indonesia’s Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi overcame Chinese Taipei’s Hsu Yin-hui and Lin Jhih-yun 21-18, 21-19. The victory secured the pair’s first BWF World Tour Super 500 title together.

French Mixed Doubles Pair Overcomes First-Game Deficit

France’s Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue claimed the mixed doubles crown after dropping the opening game to Denmark’s Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund. The French pair rallied to win 19-21, 22-20, 21-18, securing their third title of the season.

World Tour Standings and Recent Schedule

The Hylo Open concluded a busy stretch of international badminton that included the French Open on October 26, where Toma Junior Popov won the men’s singles title, and the Asian Para Games badminton tournament on October 29, where China’s Qu Zimo and Liu Yutong each claimed three gold medals. World Tour ranking points will be updated following the conclusion of the Hylo Open.
