Serie A Disciplinary Rulings: October 31 to November 1, 2026

Italian Basketball Federation Penalizes Napoli Basket and Old Wild West Udine Following Early November Fixtures

The Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) has issued disciplinary measures totaling a €1,333 fine and an official reprimand following the sixth matchday of the Serie A season, which took place across October 31 and November 1, 2026. The governing body’s judicial records detail sanctions handed down to both Napoli Basket and Old Wild West Udine for infractions occurring during weekend competition.

Napoli Basket Fined for Supporter Conduct During Weekend Fixture

Napoli Basket received a financial penalty of €1,333 following its home fixture in the opening phase of the top-flight campaign. According to FIP disciplinary documents, the sanction stems from frequent and collective offensive chants directed by spectators toward opposing team personnel. The federation applied articles 27,4bd and 24,4 of the sports regulations to determine the monetary penalty.

Old Wild West Udine Reprimanded Over Arena Equipment Deficiencies

In addition to the fine issued in Naples, the league office addressed an operational oversight in Udine. Old Wild West Udine received an official ammonizione, or reprimand, due to irregularities concerning mandatory arena equipment. Federation officials noted that the 24-second shot clocks and end-of-quarter acoustic sirens lacked adequate audibility, violating article 40,1a of the national sporting code.

Federation Disciplinary Framework and Season Context

The rulings highlight the federation’s ongoing enforcement of arena standards and spectator conduct rules as the 2026–27 Serie A basketball calendar gathers momentum. While clubs navigate the physical demands of the early-season schedule, league authorities continue to review referee reports and venue compliance logs following each round of games.
