Tierra del Fuego’s male football team is set to battle for fifth place at the 33rd Juegos Deportivos Binacional de la Araucanía Los Ríos 2026 in Valdivia, Chile, aiming to match a benchmark set a couple of decades ago. As the multi-sport regional games reach their conclusion, delegations from across Chilean and Argentine Patagonia are wrapping up competition in team disciplines, individual track and field events, swimming, and judo.
Football Positioning in Mafil and Valdivia
El fútbol masculino consiguió su tercer triunfo consecutivo en Mafil al superar por 3-1 a Los Lagos. That win earned them a spot in the fifth-place playoff against Ñuble, which previously defeated Magallanes 7-1. Meanwhile, the female football squad fell 1-0 to Bío Bío in San José de la Mariquina and prepared to face Ñuble for seventh place. The tournament’s male championship match features Bío Bío against Chubut, while Río Negro and La Pampa compete for the women’s soccer crown in Valdivia.
Volleyball and Basketball Final Standings
Both Tierra del Fuego volleyball teams finished sixth in their respective zones. The women secured eleventh place overall after a 3-1 victory over Ñuble, with set scores of 25-19, 25-27, 25-12, and 25-21.
