Castiglione della Pescaia Hosts Tuscan 3D Archery Championship

Castiglione della Pescaia will host the Tipologia Round 3D archery competition on Sunday, October 18, at the Val delle Cannucce shooting range. The competition serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Italian FIARC Championship and is valid for the 2026 Tuscan Regional Championship.

Val delle Cannucce Prepares for Regional Archery Competition

The 09COVO – Gli Arcieri del Tiburzi archery club is organizing the Tipologia Round 3D event under the patronage of the municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia. The tournament brings together archers, fans, and supporters for an outdoor competition that tests precision, focus, and technical skill within a natural setting.

Elena Nappi noted that outdoor sporting events highlight the local landscape while encouraging environmental awareness. Val delle Cannucce provides a setting suited for events of this type, capable of combining competitive sport with the enhancement of the natural heritage.

Gli Arcieri del Tiburzi and Local Sports Infrastructure

The organizing club maintains an active presence in municipal athletics, having participated in local European Sports Days and the Obiettivo Tricolore initiative, which was born in the sign of the sporting values and legacy of Alex Zanardi. The association also hosts the annual Trofeo Paradisi, named in honor of a late club president and local citizen.

Club members include high-level competitors such as Chiara Pagliarin, an Italian field archery champion who has earned a bronze medal and a sixth-place finish at the World Hunting Archery Championship, alongside recognition from CONI Grosseto.

Event Schedule and Tourism Impact

The competition takes place on Sunday, October 18. Beyond the athletic competition, municipal officials view the tournament as a vehicle for sports tourism, bringing visitors to the town.
