“After a quarter based on indoor preparation, physical and technical work for our archers, the results are interesting, as proof of the last competitions in Castelsarrasin, then in Castres” observes with satisfaction Eddy Gobbato, president of the Appamean Arc Company. He continues: “in fact, in Castres our archers were a hit with the gold medals for Simon (bare bow), Christelle (bare bow) and Rémi (compound bow), silver for Marion (bare bow) and bronze for Gérard (bare bow), without forgetting a place of honor for Arnaud-Camille (bare bow). They are selected for the French championships, at the beginning of April in Bourges. Next weekend, place at the Occitanie youth league championships in Auch which will attract all our attention. We will have 2 selected, Marine and Jordan who respectively obtained the gold and bronze medals last season. Please note, Marine is in his last year in U21, while Jordan changed category this year, he is in U18. Currently, in the regular season, Marine is ranked 1st in Occitanie and Jordan 7th. Great battles to be fought in perspective, also noting that the weekend of February 14 will be the adult league championships in Lunel, and finally, the Compagnie d’arc will soon know those selected for the French adult championships in Paris on February 28. “This season, beyond the quality, we have a rich quantity of archers who can perform at a very good regional or even national level. All hopes are therefore allowed” concluded the president who is logically aiming higher.
