MLB The Show fans, the time has come. San Diego Studio is excited to share with you all the latest news from MLB The Show 26. This year you will have even more control, immersion and action on and off the field.

This year, Road To The Show will build on the most popular features of version 25 to create an even more immersive experience. Here’s what’s new:

  • We’ve expanded the amateur career experience to increase the realism of the journey to The Show
  • We added 11 college teams, bringing the total to 19: These include the University of Arkansas, the University of Florida, Stanford University and the University of Michigan
  • We introduced the officially licensed NCAA Men’s College World Series (CWS) with tournament structure and format
  • We’ve added new objectives to further entice players to advance their careers

We are also proud to announce Road To The Show: Road to Cooperstown. In this new Road To The Show mode you can start your journey in high school, build your career and find out if you can get into the Hall of Fame. Are you ready for the challenge?

Diamond Dynasty¹: New ways to compete, including The World Baseball Classic

Diamond Dynasty is back and better than ever, with lots of new ways to have fun. To try:

  • World Baseball Classic content returns to DD, with the addition of WBC ballparks like the Tokyo Dome and Hiram Bithorn Stadium
  • Renewal of the mini-seasons
  • New rewards, programs and collections
  • New live updates for exciting challenges and experiences

Storylines¹: Negro Leagues Stagione 4

The award-winning game mode returns with new legends, uniforms and a new stadium. An opportunity to celebrate the careers of some of the most influential, but little-known, players in the history of the sport.

Franchise: greater realism and control

Franchise mode can count on some interesting updates that will give players the chance to create a real winning project:

  • The unprecedented Trade Experience includes a new Trade Logic System based on the all-encompassing Trade HUB
  • Updated logic includes lineups, starting rotations, and bullpen games to reflect current MLB trends
  • A more approachable Franchise experience allows you to customize the level of control and gameplay throughout the seasons

New gameplay updates in ShowTech bring to life the most realistic “on the field” baseball experience ever

Gameplay has always been a cornerstone of the MLB The Show series, and this year we plan to continue that tradition, adding new features and improving the gaming experience.

Here’s what’s new in version 26:

  • New: Big Zone Hitting is a new hitting interface suitable for players of all levels
  • New: Three new stadiums, including The Tokyo Dome, Hiram Bithorn Stadium and Terrapin Park
  • New: thanks to Bear Down Pitching it will be possible to exercise superior control in decisive situations
  • New: hits allowed and strikeouts obtained every 9 innings and frequency of use of the various pitches
  • New: Reactivity parameters for field players (left, right, forward, back)
  • New: Catcher Pop Time attribute
  • New: Plate Coverage Indicator – possibility to adjust the sliding indicator, for greater control of the strike zone
  • New: Over 500 new gameplay animations
    • Knee-down catcher animations restored: Includes throws, blocked balls, wild throws and more
