Latina Sports Vouchers: €500 Funding Available

The public notice from the Municipality of Latina for the granting of contributions for the purchase of sports equipment and the provision of vouchers for the practice of sporting activities is online. Young people residing in the Municipality of Latina between the ages of 14 and 35, belonging to families with ISEE income of less than 15,000 euros or young people with physical or psychological disabilities can apply.

“The main objective of the initiative – says Mayor Matilde Celentano – is to concretely encourage the practice of physical activity among our young people and promote the culture of prevention, well-being and a healthy and active lifestyle. This notice represents a real possibility for many boys and girls in our area who, for economic or personal reasons, may encounter difficulties in accessing structured sports courses. Sport is not just physical activity: it is inclusion, it is growth, it is education in respect for the rules and for others.

It means building healthy relationships, strengthening self-esteem, developing discipline and team spirit. With this measure we want to offer young people in Latina a concrete tool to get closer or closer to sport, supporting them in a delicate moment of their personal and social education. Investing in young people means investing in the future of our community. Through the activation of sports courses to be carried out by 2026, we intend to create widespread, accessible and inclusive opportunities, so that no one is left behind and everyone can find the discipline best suited to their inclinations and abilities”.

The courses will be carried out at the 13 amateur sports associations and clubs and third sector bodies identified through a previous public notice: In Team Latina, Boxe Latina, Dreams Factory, Tennis Rg, Provincial Committee Latina, Leojunkwan, Judo Club Arca, Scuola Danza Terpsicore, Nuoto 2000, Follow The Fox, Taekwondo Club Latina, Judo Ippon Latina and Takiwatanga Rugby.

“The resources programmed for this notice – adds the councilor for Sport Andrea Chiarato – made available by the Youth Policy Fund intended for the Municipalities where the Olympic Flame starts, amount to a total of 33,000 euros, to be divided between participating associations and vouchers for athletes. The Municipality of Latina will be able to provide 66 vouchers worth 500 euros each, which can be activated at a single association and for the achievement of a single sporting discipline. There are numerous disciplines between to choose from: from tennis to martial arts, from swimming to rugby and dance, through inclusive activities specifically designed for people with disabilities”. All the information and methods for submitting an application are available on the institutional website of the Municipality of Latina, in the section dedicated to public notices, which can be consulted here LINK.
