Indonesia’s AVC Cup 2026 Qualification: Rivan & Megawati Lead the Way

Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) officially announced the list of national teams that have qualified for the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup and 2026 AVC Men’s Cup on Monday (2/2).

The Indonesian Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball Teams are certain to take part in this event. This news opens up opportunities for mainstay players such as Rivan Nurmulki in the men’s sector and Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi in the women’s sector to show their quality again at the Asian level.

The 2026 AVC Women’s Cup is scheduled to take place in Candon, Philippines, on June 6-14 2026, with the Philippines acting as host.

Apart from the Philippines, this tournament will be attended by Australia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Taiwan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Megawati Hangestri, who in recent years has performed impressively in international competitions and foreign leagues, is expected to be able to boost the performance of the Indonesian Women’s National Team in this event.

Meanwhile, the 2026 AVC Men’s Cup will be held in Ahmedabad, India, on 20-28 June 2026. India as the host will compete with Australia, Bahrain, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Taiwan and Thailand.
