Youth League: PSG & Dinamo Minsk – Round of 16 Recap

The Titis show the way. This Wednesday, the Paris Saint-Germain U19s brilliantly qualified for the round of 16 of the Youth League. In the round of 16, the young Parisians quietly disposed of Dinamo Minsk, who left the Poissy Campus with four goals in their baggage (4-0).

Enough to launch a beautiful clapping, initiated by goalkeeper Martin James (17 years old), in front of the supporters present at the PSG training center. Thirteenth in the league phase of the competition, the Parisians were opposed to a team which had not gone through the same path. The Belarusians indeed came from the path of national champions.

Only French representative in the eighth

Winner of a much smaller club, Minsk fell heavily in the Paris region, welcomed by a goal from Thomas Cordier in the 18th minute. Pierre Mounguengue scored the break (28th) before half-time. The 18-year-old striker scored twice to close the festival (64th), four minutes after the third goal, scored on a penalty by Adam Ayari (60th).

The draw for the round of 16 in the competition reserved for teams under 19 will be held on Friday February 6 in Nyon, Switzerland. Paris will be the only French representative. The U19s of Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco respectively lost against Real Madrid (5-2) and Club Bruges (3-2) the day before.
