In the afternoon, the teams that will compete in the National Volleyball League representing the province were presented at a press conference. The president of the Salta Deportes Provincial Agency (APSD), Sergio Chibanhighlighted the Government’s support for the Volleyball teams that will seek to be protagonists in the National League, saying that “we are going to accompany the two teams that will represent Salta in a tournament with a lot of hierarchy and a very high level, such as the National League, wishing them the greatest success. These teams will be protagonists in the contest and will raise the flag of the province to the highest level”*
The provincial sports official added that “these teams generate motivation in the formative stages of the sport since every boy or girl wants to play on a high-level team, as will the girls from Gimnasia y Tiro (GyT) and the boys from Los Infernales Voley.”
While the president of the GyT Volleyball subcommittee, Luciano Acedo Salim, highlighted the Government of Salta for its support for the team that will compete in the national tournament, “we thank the provincial government that through the Agency will allow us the corresponding financial aid to compete in the National League in Cuyo territory and we want to continue the good path of finishing among the best five in the championship.”
Acedo Salim concluded by saying that “we are very well prepared to face the League because we have a very good coaching staff and we will seek to be protagonists as we have been doing in our Volleyball.”
The Los Infernales Voley men’s team directed by Marcos Milinkovic will be the Salta representative that will face the National League with the round-trip format, guaranteeing 7 matches at home and must leave Salta 7 times in the regular phase.
While in the Women’s category, Gymnastics and Shooting Volleyball led by Juan Ulloa, the national competition will be held in Mendoza from February 17 to 28 with the bubble system.
It should be noted that this Sunday at the Delmi Microstadium they will play two friendlies:
18 hours in the Women’s category: GyT Vs Ciudad Nieva de Jujuy.
20 hours in the Men’s category: Los Infernales Voley Vs Ciudad Nieva de Jujuy
The president of the Salteña Volleyball Federation, Rodolfo Bohuid, the president of the Los Infernales Voley Subcommittee, Darío Ocampo, and the coaches Marcos Milinkovic and Juan Ulloa, among other authorities, were present.
