Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. The news ticker on t-online contains all the important reports about the “Rothosen”.
Immanuel Pherai comes at Hamburger SV just not going. His meager record: 25 minutes of play in the current Bundesliga season. At the prestigious city derby against FC St. Pauli On Friday evening, the offensive player, who was signed by Eintracht Braunschweig in the summer of 2023, was completely missing from the squad.
According to a report by “Mopo”, the 24-year-old is not at all satisfied with his role – and is already planning his departure from the Hanseatic city. Accordingly, Pherai currently sees no prospects in Hamburg. He would like to have a solution by February 2nd – the end of the winter transfer deadline. Both loans and sales are available.
As it goes on to say, there are interested parties for both variants. How and where things will actually continue for Pherai will be decided in the coming days.
FC St. Pauli and Hamburger SV drew goalless from each other in a weak city derby. At the start of the 19th matchday in the Bundesliga, both teams played a meager 0-0 draw at the Millerntor Stadium. Both teams found it extremely difficult offensively and were hardly able to create any chances.
Thanks to the draw and the first point win in 2026, St. Pauli climbed from 18th to 16th place, at least temporarily, and now has 13 points. However, the Kiez kickers missed the longed-for liberation.
The HSV has five points more than its city rivals and is in 13th place. However, the Rothosen from St. Pauli were unable to gain a decisive advantage in the table thanks to the draw.

The DFB has appointed Tobias Welz as referee for the derby between HSV and FC St. Pauli. The association announced this on Thursday. Matthias Jöllenbeck is used as a video assistant.
Welz last led HSV in the cup exit against Holstein Kiel on December 3rd. At that time, a decision by the referee caused discussion: After a duel between Guilherme Ramos and Kiel’s captain Stefan Schwab, Welz assessed the scene as a foul by the HSV defender. Phil Harres converted the subsequent free kick to make it 1-1. Kiel escaped into a penalty shootout and knocked HSV out of the competition.
