Arriving mid-November to compensate for Justin Bibbins’ injury, Michael Stockton (1.85 m, 36 years old) will stay a little longer in Burgundy. The National Basketball League validated this Friday the extension of the American leader’s contract with Dijon until January 31, 2026.
An extension validated by the LNB
The former Chalonnais player saw his contract renewed to continue his mission within JDA Dijon until the end of the first month of the calendar year. John Stockton’s son was able to quickly integrate into the Dijon squad, bringing his experience and his understanding of the game.
Since his arrival, the veteran has averaged 6.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists for an 8.5 rating in 16 minutes over eight contested games. With him on the floor, the Burgundian club won five times.
Dijon strong in the race for the Play-in
Thanks to these results, JDA Dijon currently occupies tenth place in Betclic ELITE with a record of 7 victories for 9 defeats. The club remains in contact with the middle of the table before an important trip to the Gravelines-Dunkerque court, this Saturday evening, for the 17th day of the championship.
