Meiji High/Junior High – 3rd Term Ceremony

3rd semester opening ceremony

On January 8th, all students gathered at Uzawa Somei Hall for the opening ceremony for the third term. In the principal’s address, Principal Satoshi Iiegami reflected on the changes in the sunrise and sunset, the seasonal changes, and regional differences on the earth, and said that he would like the students to visit various places around the world if they have the chance. He called on the students to spend their days fulfilling their studies and extracurricular activities during the third semester, which marks the final stage of the year.
At the award ceremony, awards were given to the mathematics department, social studies, English department, high school council, kendo club, judo club, volleyball club (middle school girls), basketball club (high school boys and middle school boys), track and field club, soccer club (middle school), boys tennis club, and calligraphy club. In particular, the calligraphy club and men’s tennis club achieved good results in national competitions and tournaments.
