For the resumption of Ligue 1 after the break, RC Lens defeated Toulouse at the Stadium this Friday and ensured themselves to be autumn champions.
Another day in the leader costume. In numerical superiority for more than an hour, the Lensois leader logically won on the pitch of Toulouse (3-0) Friday evening during the advanced match of the 17th day, thus securing the title of fall champion.
This now makes seven consecutive victories for the Northerners who start the year 2026 on the same basis as the end of the previous one. The Lensois are definitely guaranteed to finish the first phase of the championship ahead of Paris Saint-Germain whatever the result of PSG at the Parc des Princes against Paris FC on Sunday evening.

Lens has been sitting on the throne of Ligue 1 since November 30 and will retain its rank for at least fifteen more days since next weekend will be occupied by the Coupe de France.

Masters of the ball from the kick-off of the second act, the Lensois laid siege to the Toulouse goal and it was finally from the foot of a veteran of the purple house that the deliverance came on a curling shot from Wesley Saïd from inside the area (1-0, 57th).

The same Saïd missed the double on an ill-adjusted header (70th) before Sang et Or captain Adrien Thomassson sheltered his team with a Fofana strike repelled by Restes in his feet (2-0, 85th). Pierre Ganiou, at the end of added time, added to the score with a nice strike (3-0, 90+5)
