The Harmonie-Lembeck brass band got off to a lively start into the new year with their traditional community rehearsal on Friday, January 9, 2026. Numerous active musicians accepted the invitation, as did former and passive members, temporary workers, the youth department and friends and acquaintances of the club. The musical start to 2026 was celebrated together.
Despite the announced wintry weather with a snowstorm, many music lovers insisted on finding their way to the rehearsal room. At exactly 8 p.m., conductor Jürgen Fassbender opened the rehearsal with three marches from the marching folder, before varied concert pieces were then rehearsed. The participants also had the opportunity to express their own musical wishes, which were taken up later in the rehearsal.
We played music together, laughed and had personal exchanges until late in the evening, in the spirit of the living community that Harmonie-Lembeck has stood for for many years.
A special highlight of the evening was the honoring of long-standing members. The chairmen Christina Stroick and Hannah Bösing acknowledged the commitment and loyalty of those celebrating their anniversary and thanked them for their valuable support in the club.
The following were honored for their long-term membership:
• 10 years: Lukas Schmidt, Sophie Schmidt, Jana Krampe
• 20 years: Karolin Sühling, Katharina Holthausen
• 30 years: Andrea Löchteken
• 50 years: Helmut Zürrlein
To great applause, the chairmen presented the honorees with certificates and pins and found words of appreciation for their commitment and connection to Harmonie-Lembeck.
Members who were unable to take part in the community rehearsal have the opportunity to accept their award in person at the general meeting on January 23, 2026.
