A few days after bidding farewell to the Montreal Alouettes, receiver Austin Mack agreed to join the Edmonton Elks.
Mack agreed to a two-year contract that will pay him $205,000 in 2026 and $220,000 in 2027, according to Farhan Lalji of TSN as well as media outlet 3DownNation.
The deal also reportedly includes a $55,000 signing bonus.
The six-foot, one-inch, 208-pound star player will be reunited with the Elks with quarterback Cody Fajardo, with whom he played rain and shine during their stay with the Alouettes.
The duo completed 74 aerial plays during the 2023 season, fourth in the league in this regard, for 1,154 yards (fifth in the CFL) and four touchdowns, en route to being named to the Eastern Section All-Star Team and the Johnston Circuit All-Star Team.
Mack has spent the last three seasons in an Alouettes uniform, helping the team reach the Gray Cup final on two occasions. He lifted the precious trophy in 2023.
In 2025, Mack has caught 48 balls in 12 games for 674 yards. His time in Montreal ended after 32 season games, 136 receptions, 1,973 yards and six touchdowns.
Before joining the CFL, Mack had stints in the NFL with the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers. He also had a brief stint with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Alouettes will visit the Elks during the third week of CFL activities, June 20, before reversing roles during the 10th week, August 8.
