Oristano Hosts 38th Interregional Archery Indoor Tournament

Oristano is set to welcome archers and clubs from across Sardinia for the 38th Interregional Indoor Archery Championship, Ornews reported. The regional sporting event, organized by the A.S.D. Arcieri della Quercia, will run across the weekend of November 7–8 inside the Torangius gymnasium located on Via Pietro Benassi near Piazza Baden Powell.

Competition Schedule and Program at Torangius Gymnasium

The weekend schedule opens on Saturday, November 7, with competitor check-in scheduled for 2:00 p.m. local time, followed by the first arrows flying at 2:30 p.m. The opening day features competition over the 25-meter distance, followed immediately by the 18-meter distance rounds.

Action resumes on Sunday, November 8, with morning check-in set for 10:00 a.m. and competition officially starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday’s program mirrors Saturday’s structure, beginning with the 25-meter shooting line before shifting to the 18-meter distance events.

Registration Fees and Class Eligibility

Organizers have opened the tournament to all age categories with a single notable exclusion: the youngest youth division, the Giovanissimi, will not participate in this year’s interregional event.

Entry fees are divided by age classification, set at 30 euros for competitors in the Senior and Master divisions, while participants in the youth classes pay a reduced entry fee of 15 euros. Official awards ceremonies will follow federation regulations upon the conclusion of Sunday’s events.

Municipal Support and Local Economic Impact

The municipality of Oristano is providing financial backing and official patronage for the tournament. Organizers noted that the competition serves as a primary vehicle for promoting the sport of archery throughout the region and elevating the profile of local athletics by combining high-level technical focus with traditional sporting rivalry.
