Arc-en-Ciel Brignolais secures 18 medals at departmental championship

Competitors from the Arc-en-Ciel Brignolais club captured 18 medals and numerous departmental titles during the regional archery and blowpipe championship held on October 31 and November 1, 2026, in Brignoles, Var Actu reported. The weekend event featured a festive Halloween theme complete with costumes and a convivial atmosphere as athletes posted standout performances across multiple disciplines.

The strong showing in Brignoles follows a successful outing earlier in the autumn. The club had previously found success during a qualifying competition held in Miramas at the beginning of October, building momentum heading into the departmental event.

Blowpipe competitors claim four gold medals

Specialists in the blowpipe discipline led the charge with six total medals. Manuela, Jean-Pierre, Julie, and Cyril each secured a gold medal alongside the departmental champion title in their respective categories. Lydia added a silver medal and the title of vice-departmental champion, while Élodie rounded out the podium sweep for the discipline by claiming a bronze medal and a departmental title.

Archers multiply podium finishes across events

In the archery events, Brignolais athletes collected 12 medals. Alicia, Jean-Pierre, Gérald, and Odile finished on the top step of the podium, capturing gold medals and departmental titles. Six additional club members earned silver medals: Oriane, Floriane, Clément, Cyril, Matilde, and Lydia. Among them, Clément, Matilde, and Lydia also secured departmental titles.

Jean-Marie and Stéphanie added bronze medals to the tally. The departmental rankings also recognized Oriane, Floriane, Jean-Marie, Stéphanie, Cyril, and Roger as vice-departmental champions, while Michael, Julie, and Benoît finished in third place within the department.

Club momentum builds toward spring competition schedule

The collective success in Brignoles continues a strong competitive run for Arc-en-Ciel Brignolais, which also earned multiple departmental distinctions at Saint-Maximin in the spring. Beyond the medal counts, club leadership highlighted the behind-the-scenes contributions of coaches, volunteers, and supporters who assist the athletes throughout the season.
