Tarancón Hosts 27th Virgen de Riansares Archery Trophy Opening Indoor Season

The Peña del Águila pavilion in Tarancón hosted the 27th Virgen de Riansares Archery Trophy, marking the opening of the local indoor competitive season, El Deporte Conquense reported. Organized by the Tarancón Archery School under the direction of José María Párraga, the tournament drew roughly 20 archers from across the central region, representing clubs such as Arqueros Ribereños de Aranjuez, Guadalajara, Manzanares, Albacete, Arco Cuenca, Alcalá de Júcar, Tomiarco, and host Tarancón.

Turnout fell below typical levels for the fixture, a drop attributed to scheduling overlaps with other regional shoots and championships. Despite the smaller field, competition proceeded smoothly under the supervision of judge José Luis Córdoba Moreno, yielding strong individual and competitive scores across the categories contested on the venue’s indoor floor.

Podium Finishes Across Central Region Clubs

Arco Cuenca and Arqueros Ribereños secured multiple top finishes, while local Tarancón competitors also landed on the podium.
