RSCA has strengthened its medical staff with an experienced member. Frigyes Vanden Auweele, previously active at Liverpool and OH Leuven, is switching to RSC Anderlecht. He must help put an end to the long-term and recurring injuries.
The Last Hour informs us that RSC Anderlecht has strengthened its medical staff with Frigyes Vanden Auweele, an osteopath specialized in elite sports with a particularly extensive resume. He will come to Lotto Park with immediate effect.
RSC Anderlecht brings in an osteopath with a history at OH Leuven and Liverpool
In recent years, Vanden Auweele has worked within Jürgen Klopp’s staff at Liverpool from 2022 to 2024. He has also worked at OH Leuven and for the cycling formation Lidl-Trek. Since March last year, Frigyes Vanden Auweele has also been working for the Belgian Football Association with the Red Devils.
He will now combine this position at the Belgian Football Association with his new tasks within the RSCA medical cell. In this way, the Purple & White will gain an additional staff member with quite a few nobility letters.
Will the injuries at Sporting Anderlecht finally come to an end?
This reinforcement is in addition to that of Bram Geers, who became Performance Director in October last year, of Joris Jellasics (ex-OHL, ex-URBSFA) and Vincent Adriaensen (ex-COIB), who work with the physical staff of RSCA.
The goal is clear: to finally put an end to the waves of injuries in Anderlecht’s core. Kana, Augustinsson, Hazard, Stroeykens, Camara, Huerta, Verschaeren… all have been affected this season, not to mention the countless injuries in previous seasons.
