(Tuesday, December 16, 2025). The young basketball player played in the U19 World Cup with the Argentine National Team and was a participant in multiple achievements with the Remero team, which led him to win the emblematic award at the Regatas Awards ceremony.
On Tuesday night at the Sports Playón, the Corrientes Regatas Club celebrated a special night with its traditional Regatas Awards event in its XXXV edition, where Viktor Bender was the one who received the highest distinction: the Regatas de Oro.
The event par excellence in institutional and sports matters of the Miter Park institution once again served to honor the most outstanding athletes and partners of 2025 in different recreational activities and sports disciplines.
It is worth highlighting the presence of the Honorable Board of Directors, headed by its president, Dr. Eduardo Tassano, among other leaders, partners, parents and friends of the outstanding athletes.

As is traditional year after year, firstly, the diplomas were awarded to those distinguished in the different recreational, social activities and sports schools, who are selected by their instructors and professors according to their performance, commitment and dedication.
At the end, they began to call the nominees in the sports disciplines to the stage and the winners of each one were announced. After the 12 winners were revealed, it was time to announce the brand new winner of the most important distinction of the night: the Regatas de Oro.
It was there that the name of Viktor Bender came out of the envelope, the basketball player who stands as the best athlete of the Regatta Club in 2025, winning the award after a year full of successes on a personal and collective level.

It should be noted that Bender could not be present at the ceremony since he is on tour with the National Basketball League and Liga Próximo teams in Buenos Aires, so the person who received the award was his mother, who could not hide her emotion and joy at the moment.
This marked the fourth opportunity in which the basketball discipline received the highest distinction, the previous ones being Alejo Montes (2011), Juan Pablo Arengo (2014) and Marco Giordano (2018). In addition, it ended the reign of Tania Ferreyra, who had been the winner on two consecutive occasions.
Bender, of promise to Regatas de Oro
Viktor Bender, 19 years old, had a 2025 full of transcendental moments and sporting successes, both individually and collectively, which led him to be chosen as the brand new winner of the 35th Golden Regattas.
Firstly, last season in the National League he made his absolute debut in the highest category of Argentine basketball, and he was also a starter and key player in the Development League team that finished 2nd in the regular phase with just 4 losses in 38 games, getting into the Final Four of the competition.
In June he received the news that ended up positioning him above other great Rowing athletes, and it was with the call from the Argentine National Team to compete in the U19 World Cup in Switzerland. There he was one of the players who achieved 12th place in the international competition.
Furthermore, at the local level he was key and participated in the title of the Palacio Cup of the First Division of the Basketball Association of the City of Corrientes, in addition to the title of the U21 category in the Prefederal, and being one of the figures in obtaining the Final Quadrangular of Corrientes basketball.
At the beginning of the 2025/26 season of the National League, he once again participated as one of the youth players on the squad, and also once again established himself as one of the great figures of the Liga Próximo, rounding off a great year personally and crowning it with the Regatas de Oro.
