Extreme shock during this new NBA evening between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Brooklyn Nets. The meeting will be held at the Target Center this Sunday at 2:00 a.m. Minnesota is one of the sensations of the season, sitting in 5th place in the Western Conference standings with a record of 20 wins and 11 losses. The Timberwolves impressed by defeating the defending champion and competition leader, the Oklahoma City Thunder, with a score of 112-105. It was not a simple flash in the pan since they then added the excellent New York Knicks team to their roster (115-104). Unsurprisingly, Chris Finch’s men enforced the hierarchy by beating a Milwaukee Bucks team in difficulty (103-100). Unfortunately, their good series came to an end on the Denver Nuggets floor after overtime (142-138). Despite Anthony Edwards’ 44 points, their opponent was too skilled at three points, thus causing their defeat.
Brooklyn, for its part, disappoints once again by occupying 13th place in the Eastern Conference with a negative record of 9 wins for 19 defeats. The Nets have nevertheless improved their record in recent weeks by correcting, without much surprise, the Milwaukee Bucks (127-82). However, they were quickly brought back to reality by losing at home 95-106 to the Miami Heat. Jordi Fernández’s men revived against all odds against the Toronto Raptors (96-81), although the latter were not in great shape. They confirmed this revival by beating the Philadelphia 76ers away (106-114). However, it should be noted that their opponent was clearly diminished by injuries, which explains their low shooting success rate of 40%.
