Veronika Khek Kubařová Swaps Hybrid for All-Electric Suzuki eVitara
Czech actress Veronika Khek Kubařová has purchased a new Suzuki eVitara, moving away from her previous plug-in hybrid vehicle, according to a report by Garáž.cz.
Born in Rakovník on June 1, 1987, Kubařová is widely recognized for her film roles in Vyšehrad: Fylm, Ženy v běhu, and Rafťáci, as well as her earlier stage work at the Semafor theater. In the automotive space, she previously drove a red Suzuki Across plug-in hybrid affectionately nicknamed “Berucha,” praising its power and silent electric operation before making the transition to Suzuki’s newest battery-electric offering.
Early Driving Roots and Off-Road Training with Aleš Loprais
Reflecting on her driving history, Kubařová passed her driver’s license test on her first attempt despite initial hesitation and anxiety surrounding the final exams. Her first vehicle was a high-mileage Volkswagen she named “Mazlík.” She also acknowledged receiving her first traffic ticket for speeding, noting the persistent challenge of maintaining precise statutory speed limits.
Describing her driving habits as cautious and responsible, she characterized herself as more likely to hold up traffic than rush past it, aiming for what she calls a “presidential ride” centered on calm and safety. While she has not yet completed an official defensive driving course, she participated in off-road training with Dakar Rally driver Aleš Loprais using an electric Vitara prototype, an experience that shifted her perspective on electric vehicles in rural environments.
Pricing Structure and the Batmobile-Inspired Cockpit
Addressing the capabilities of the Suzuki eVitara, Kubařová highlighted its striking exterior styling, interior cockpit design resembling the Batmobile, agile handling, and the utility of its hill-hold assist function. She pointed to the cabin’s acoustic quietness as a primary benefit against urban noise pollution.
The Suzuki eVitara launches with front-wheel-drive configurations starting at 747,500 CZK, while all-wheel-drive variants begin at 902,500 CZK. To bolster consumer confidence, Suzuki backs the electric SUV with a warranty extending up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers.
Critique of Czech Infrastructure and Future Campervan Ambitions
Looking ahead to personal travel, she stated a preference for a customized campervan to tour northern European mountain regions. Shifting to national transport management, Kubařová called for more qualified personnel within municipal transport departments to plan road closures and construction schedules more effectively. She also proposed better management of highway repair zones where work remains inactive for extended periods.
