The German beach volleyball national coach Christoph Dieckmann, 49, will end his job next year. The DVV announced that he would be leaving the German Volleyball Association in March 2026 for “personal reasons”. Background: The 2006 European champion lives with his family in Greece.
“In order to carry out the task as head national coach in such a way that it meets my own standards and does justice to the athletes, a significantly stronger presence in Germany would be necessary,” says Dieckmann himself. As his successor, Paul Becker, 35, will be promoted from junior to head national coach.
