Latvian basketball player Kitty Lacks scored 17 points in the Italian Serie A match on Monday and helped Skio “Famila” to success. “Famila” beat San Martino di Lupari “Alama” at home with 79:51 (22:9, 18:17, 18:14, 21:11).

Laksa played 29 minutes and 54 seconds and made five of six two-point shots, two of five long-range shots and one free throw. She also had one rebound, one assist, one steal and two forced fumbles for a +/- of +21 and an efficiency rating of 16.

Only Jessica Sheppard, who finished the match with 22 points and six steals, scored more points than Lacs in Skio. Elizabeth Scott was the most productive among the hosts with 14 points and ten rebounds.

The Skio team is the leader with 12 wins in 12 games, while Campobaso Magnolia, represented by Laura Melder, is in third position with a 9-3 record.

In the previous season, Skio’s “Famila” won the Italian championship, beating Venice’s “Umana Reyer” 3-2 in the series.
