Guido Rodriguez is a key target for Juventus’ upcoming transfer window. The Argentinian midfielder, whose name was also mentioned at Ajax, may leave his club West Ham United.
Rodriguez’s name was mentioned not long ago around the vacant ‘number six position’ at Ajax. However, according to De Telegraaf, nothing concrete has happened yet and the experienced midfielder is ‘one of the many candidates’ for the Amsterdam team’s midfield. If Jordi Cruijff really starts working as technical director, the search for a new defensive midfielder will be more intensive.
However, there is a chance that Rodriguez will no longer be available by then. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport in Sky Sport Italia the Argentinian is a key target for Juventus in January. Rodriguez still has a contract with West Ham until the end of this season and the Italians hope to be able to acquire him for a bargain price. Next season, Juventus wants to take over Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United as the real leader of the midfield.
Rodriguez rarely gets around to playing at West Ham United anymore. The midfielder was allowed to play minutes in six official matches. Rodriguez previously played for clubs such as Real Betis and River Plate.
