“When Karoline Klaaby presented her visionary girls’ project in October – the first of its kind in Danish badminton – it immediately created attention. The timing is perfect: Denmark is in the middle of a change, where girls and female badminton athletes are finally given the space and priority they deserve.
After 18 weeks of intensive training, analysis and experience trips in Asia, the interest is
exploded. Many of the girls and parents who now follow the project closely have followed Karoline
since her Vietnam stay in 2024 – a strong proof of the credibility of the project and
long-term approach.
In December, Karoline returns home to hold the first information meetings for players, parents and business partners.
The goal is clear: To create a strong and sustainable development environment for girls who want to play badminton at a high level.
A new direction for talent development
The development of girls in Danish badminton is facing a significant change. We now see both political and
organizational willingness to change – and that opens the door for innovative projects like this.
The girls and their parents are particularly attracted by:
● A professional set-up at an international level
● A long-term development structure that prioritizes quality over quantity
● An environment created specifically for girls’ needs and development
● Focus on identity, maturity and holistic development

The transition from youth to senior is particularly hard for girls, and they lack a system tailored to them. This is precisely the foundation on which the project builds.
Three guiding principles:
1. A safe environment where girls dare to challenge themselves
2. Creative and intelligent training that develops game understanding and resilience
3. Long-term talent development, where potential is weighted higher than current level
A unique opportunity for the clubs
A central part of the project is partnerships with the clubs, who get access to concrete
analyses, player reports, new development structures and professional presentations. It strengthens the clubs’ work instead of detracting from it. They can participate in workshops, presentations and gatherings – and they keep their players, while at the same time gaining stronger development power and perspective.
This means that the clubs do not lose their players – on the contrary, they get a bigger one
development power, sparring and gain a greater perspective for badminton development.
The interest is already growing: the girls are asking for more support, the parents are backing them, and investors are starting to approach them.
To lift the project to its full potential, we are looking for:
● Ambitious girls
● Sponsors and investors
● Creative forces for the production of content
● Clubs that will be part of leading a new direction for Danish girls’ badminton
Do you want to join?
Regardless of whether you are a player, parent, coach, club person or potential partner, you are invited to join a new movement for Danish girls’ badminton – a path that strengthens girls both as athletes and as young women.
The girls have talent. Now they must have the framework to unfold it.”
