Senegal-DAWR-ANPS Partnership: 3-Year Equipment & Content Support

The National Association of the Sports Press signed a partnership agreement with the DAWR brand yesterday, Friday December 5, 2025, in the hall of honor of the Maison de la Presse, Babacar Toure.

Promoter of local consumption, the National Association of the Sports Press (ANPS) has reached an agreement with the equipment manufacturer DAWR, a 100% Senegalese brand owned by Ousmane Kamara. The latter has been weaving its web for some time in the sporting world by equipping the Senegalese Basketball, Handball, Badminton, Roller and Volleyball Federations. He did the same in France by sponsoring Salagou (D2 Rugby club) and Sussargues (D2 Handball club).

In the professional environment, DAWR works with Mc Donald France, Promotrans (driver training center) and the Dissot group (real estate). The contract with the ANPS is for a period of three years, renewable.

Abdoulaye Thiam, president of the ANPS, appreciated such a signature: “DAWR has decided to invest in his country, in sport. He decided to support the sports press by equipping the ANPS during the “All Behind the Lions” hike on Saturday, November 30, 2025. He plans to equip the members of the ANPS Executive Committee for the CAN, in Morocco. We thank him for what he does in sport, particularly for the press. For this CAN, there will be more than 175 journalists, which is a record because during the last edition, in Ivory Coast, there were 126 of us.”

For his part, Ousmane Kamara, CEO of DAWR, maintained: “I am a son of Senegal. Everything related to sports is my domain. It is therefore logical that I work with the ANPS, which cannot be dissociated from sport. It is through journalists that we can find out what is happening around sport. I have a friendly relationship with President Abdoulaye Thiam. I believe in this country, I believe in sport. We have extremely young youth, so we must instill values in them. To have an impact and not just sell equipment. The challenge is to create a dynamic around sport because as long as there are not the necessary means, sport will not be able to move forward. I remain available. Whenever there is a need, it would be an honor to participate. I hope we will have a superb CAN, going as far as possible. This goes well in handball and basketball. We hope this will be the case for football. We also have to think about other Federations. I don’t have the money but I can support them in everything related to sports textiles. »
