Elgoibar Sports Awards: Athletes Honored

ELGOIBAR | This Thursday the Federated Sports Awards were held in Elgoibar, at the Municipal Theater, in an event aimed at recognizing the effort and career of athletes from the different clubs and sports modalities of the municipality.

During the event, attendees were able to enjoy a round table with players and representatives of the Genuine League, in which they shared the values of inclusive sport and their experiences.

The following prizes were then awarded:

Finally, Mayor Maialen Gurrutxaga took the floor and presented “Elgoibar Kirola. As he explained, starting next January the Municipal Sports Board will be integrated into the structure of the City Council, thus taking a new step in the management and promotion of sports in Elgoibar.

Elgoibar City Council would like to thank all the people present at the event for their attendance, as well as the sports clubs, associations and organizers who made it possible. Elgoibar will continue to firmly support sport as a tool for social cohesion, inclusion and promotion of healthy lifestyle habits, reaffirming its commitment to the development of local sport.
