Colmar Judo: Manalas Tournament 2025

If the traditional manalas tournament did not attract a large crowd, it proved right the adage which states that those who are absent are always wrong.

Indeed the clubs present (Espérance Mulhouse, JC d’Ingersheim, JC Horbourg, Espace 110, Colmar Judo and the local Labaroche club, organizer of this rare team event of mini-chicks and chicks), all left the premises with a big smile and the hope of seeing each other again next year.

For the record, the teams are made up of 6 judoka ranging from the lightest to the heaviest category.

In mini-chicks, the club was able to present two teams of only 4, not having any “heavyweights” in stock to ensure the two categories above 33 kg.

For the younger team (Amaury-Eliot-Gabriel-Thimoté), supervised by Caroleit was essentially a question of discovering the “competition” aspect of the discipline and measuring the progress that remains to be made; they ranked 4ths

For the “second year” team, already more accustomed to confrontation with other judoka, supervised by Martineit was not the same and it is a beautiful second place that punctuated their morning.

In chicks we were almost complete; Louis from Espace 110, strengthened the team composed of Lucien, Lucille, Johan, Illyes, Mathilde, Dijar and Mayes supervised by Melanie. Coming out 1st in their group, they were beaten by a very good team from JC Ingersheim, future winner of the competition ahead of Esperance Mulhouse. They nevertheless rank 3rd.

Adrien (sports commissioner) and Maya (referee) contributed to the smooth running of the event.
