Palazzo civico continues along the path of valorising the city’s sports facilities. With a recent determination, a redevelopment project has been launched in the area of the former riding track, within the “A. Montagna” sports field, with the aim of creating a space dedicated to the practice of archery.
The facility, managed by the Municipality by virtue of the agreement stipulated at the time with the Navy, is part of a broader strategy aimed at introducing an ever-increasing number of citizens to the practice of sports, regardless of age or physical condition. With this in mind, works are planned aimed at both adapting the structures and improving the services to support the athletes, implementing the definitive movement of the archers given the reorganization underway in the PalaMariotti area where at the same time a gym and a swimming pool are being built.
The interventions at the “Montagna” include the maintenance of the existing electrical system and the installation of two prefabricated boxes: one intended for operational functions and one also equipped with toilets accessible to people with disabilities. The works will be carried out by the companies Costa Box and Hesperio, for a total investment of over 21 thousand euros, entirely covered by the 2025 municipal budget.
