Gianluigi Buffon is a real legend – in international football, but especially in Italy and especially at his heart club, Juventus. The now 47-year-old, who is considered one of the best goalkeepers in history, was in the Bianconeri box no fewer than 685 times. With Juve, “Gigi” won ten championship titles, five Italian Cups, and he even remained loyal to them when they were forced to relegate to Serie B in 2006 as a result of the Italian football scandal.
In short: Buffon’s heart beats in black and white. Was that also the case on this Saturday evening? Juventus met Pisa away from home. And so a special constellation arose. Buffon’s son Louis Thomas is under contract with Pisa. The 17-year-old – who, unlike his father, does not act as a goalkeeper but as a striker – is getting a taste of Serie A air for the first time this year. And coach Alberto Gilardino actually sent him onto the field this Saturday against Juventus.

In the last eleven minutes, Louis Thomas was allowed to play against his dad Gianluigi’s favorite club. And so a Buffon actually tried to score a goal against Juventus. The talented youngster didn’t succeed, but it was still a memorable evening. When he was substituted, mom Alena Seredova was extremely happy in the stands.
And dad Gianluigi? He wasn’t visible on the stadium cameras, but he will still be very proud of his son. And in the end he was also happy about a 2-0 win for “his” Juventus. Pierre Kalulu (73′) and Kenan Yildiz (90’+2) scored for the Old Lady.
