Basketball Injuries & Perseverance: Why Keep Playing?

Current injuries
1. Fracture of right wrist (recovered and returned to the court in 2 months)
2. Fracture of left ankle (recovered and returned to the court in 10 months)
3. The right little finger is fractured and permanently deformed, similar to Kobe’s little finger (injury for 4 months)
4. Hard injury to right knee (injury for 1 month)
5. Fracture of the middle finger of the right hand (recovering, expected to return in two weeks)

I want to hear what everyone thinks about playing basketball.

The reason why athletes’ careers are so short is mostly due to physical injuries. As for the reason for perseverance, I think it’s either for honor or money. If it’s just a hobby, it probably won’t last long.

Fractured left arm from the same hit :smiling_face_with_tear:I have a very vitreous constitution. I also suffered a lot of injuries while playing football as an undergraduate. I broke my eye once while fighting for my head and experienced a 90-degree ankle sprain. Now I am honest and play the big ball health game, play badminton when I have nothing to do, and do some Buddhist exercises like swimming and running.

I basically suffered injuries from breakthroughs. Before I broke my ankle, I made 8 shots and 2 shots. Now it has gradually become 2 shots and 8 shots. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Why are you so hurt? . .

I play basketball in my spare time. I sprained my foot once in college. On the second day, my foot was as swollen as a carrot. It hurt so much that I couldn’t walk. I bought a cane, but it didn’t work even once. Later I stopped playing with high intensity.

Let’s switch to healthy basketball as soon as possible

I have sprained my ankle several times playing table tennis, and also sprained my ankle playing basketball. After recovering, I continued to play, mainly to exercise, haha

It’s okay if we don’t play games.
You still have a family to support, so why bother?

I didn’t play at all. I didn’t have a good impression of basketball because I was hit by a basketball when I was young.

I also play basketball. I have been playing since elementary school. As long as it is not a game, I will pay attention to my body, because most of the time it is just for exercise. If I encounter something dirty, just spray it. My health is the most important thing. I have sprained my feet (I can’t remember how many times).

In my sophomore year of high school, my lumbar vertebra was dislocated due to a dunk, and I dropped out of school to recuperate and received treatment for more than two years. Later, when I returned to school, my right little finger suffered a dislocation and deformation fracture, which required me to recuperate for a month. Half a year later, he flew out of the air and suffered a minor second-degree concussion.

Brother, you have to protect yourself. Protecting yourself is the premise on the court. It doesn’t mean that you don’t have to work too hard in the game. It will take a long time.

You must be too strong. Why did you suffer so many injuries?
