Gallinari Retires: NBA Career Ends

Danilo Gallinari, one of the greatest legends of Italian basketball, announced on Tuesday that he was ending his professional career.

He announced his decision on Instagram.

“Today, with a heart full of gratitude, I announce my retirement from a career I have always dreamed of. A career built through hard work, sacrifice, wins, losses, teammates who became brothers, the advice of my coaches, and, of course, the family and friends who were with me every step of the way.

“It has been an incredible journey, filled with countless memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. To those who believed in me, to everyone who supported me, and to those who shared every moment with me – thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“I can’t wait for the next chapter!” »

He began his career in Italy with Casalpusterlengo, then played at Olimpia Milano, then the New York Knicks, the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Atlanta Hawks, the Washington Wizards, the Detroit Pistons and, finally, the Milwaukee Bucks, where he concluded a career of fourteen seasons in the NBA.

His last club was the Vaqueros de Bayamón, Puerto Rico, where he won his first title of his career and was also named Finals MVP.
