Basketball-African League 2025: CNSS DRC Defeats Braveheats Malawi

Kinshasa, December 7, 2025 (ACP) – National Social Security Fund (CNSS) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) won against Braveheats of Malawi, 66-42, on Saturday, in Egypt, on the first day of group C of the African Women’s Basketball League (WBLA), the ACP learned on Sunday from the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) Africa website.
According to the source, for this meeting of the 4th edition of this competition, the Congolese BC CNSS, more offensive than ever, almost imposed a one-sided match on their opponent and translated it well by the evolution of the score on the scoreboard and during its various adventures.
Without any resistance, the CNSS crushed Braveheats and dictated its law, in the first quarter by 20-6.
It was also the case in the second and at the final break, by 36-14, constituting a comfortable lead of 22 lengths.
The last two quarters did not deviate from the logic of the day of the CNSS which increasingly asphyxiated Braveheats by 49-21 and 66-42 respectively.
Thus, the figures were more than eloquent on the victory of the BC CNSS which ensured a good entry into the competition.

This African Women’s Basketball League tournament is organized, from Friday December 5 to Sunday December 14, at the Al Ahly SC Arena, Cairo, Egypt and BC CNSS is in the same group as APR from Rwanda, Bravehearts from Malawi) and ASC Ville de Dakar from Senegal
