Badminton Open Days Leiden | BC Leiden

Badminton association BC Leiden organizes open evenings for interested parties.

On Monday evenings, January 5 and 12, you can join us in the sports hall of Vlietland College. An introductory training will then start on January 19 and 26 and February 2 and 9. Everyone is welcome.

“Badminton is intensive,” says Haiko van der Voort of BC Leiden. “You can enjoy beating a shuttle, but competitively it is one of the toughest sports, physically and mentally, speaks enthusiastically about the sport.”

“You can play all evening and then you really feel that you have done something. You have to keep your head: there is a lot of tactics involved, you play long rallies, build up points, and can sense when a point is exactly right. That makes it so much fun.”

“I have now been playing at BC Leiden for 25 years. You become smarter, your technique improves, but above all you learn to move relaxed around the court and laugh with your fellow players. That goes surprisingly quickly.”
