Daegu KCC Ends Jamsil Skid, Stops SK’s 5-Game Win Streak 82-76

Daegu KCC Egis Overcomes Jamsil Jinx to Defeat Seoul SK

Daegu Korea Gas Corporation ended a seven-game away losing streak at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on December 4, defeating Seoul SK 82-76 in the 2026–2027 KCC Professional Basketball regular season, according to news reports. The victory lifts the visitors into sole possession of fifth place in the standings with a 6-6 record, two days after dropping a 71-77 decision to Anyang Jung Kwan Jang. Seoul SK, meanwhile, saw its five-game winning streak come to an end, falling to second place with a 5-2 mark.

Reserves Score Thirty Five Points to Snap Skid

Reserves supplied 35 points for Daegu, snapping a skid against SK that dated back to March 2024. LaGunah recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Samjosef Belangel poured in 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Kim Min-gyu added 11 points, Woo Dong-hyun contributed 10, and Yang Woo-hyuk chipped in nine.

Shooting efficiency proved to be the primary statistical divider between the two clubs. Daegu converted 56.4 percent of its two-point attempts and 39.1 percent from beyond the arc. Seoul SK struggled to find a rhythm from distance, shooting 51 percent on two-pointers and hitting just 16.7 percent of its 3-point shots. Jamil Varney led SK with 20 points, Ahn Young-jun scored 18, and Oh Jae-hyun added 17, but the team’s perimeter shooting fell short.

Fourth-Quarter Resilience Fends Off Seoul SK Comeback

Daegu established early control when Belangel scored 12 points in the opening quarter alone on three two-pointers and two shots from long range. SK mounted a counter-attack in the second period but failed to reclaim the advantage, sending the game to halftime with Daegu holding a 44-41 edge.

The visiting side expanded its margin in the third quarter as Woo Dong-hyun connected from the perimeter while Kim Min-gyu and Choi Seung-wook scored in the paint. Woo’s three long-range strikes during the 10-minute period helped stretch Daegu’s lead to 64-54 heading into the final frame. Although SK pressed for a late reversal, Belangel hit a decisive perimeter shot with 26 seconds remaining on the clock to secure the six-point margin.

Standings Shift

The result pushes Daegu to six wins and six losses for sole possession of fifth place. Seoul SK absorbs its second loss of the campaign, halting its five-game winning streak.
