He Andean Patagonian Archery Club Last weekend it closed its activities with a special camp next to the Archery School, in a proposal that combined sports practices, games and family coexistence.

The match began on Saturday at 5 p.m. with the reception of the young archers and the setting up of the camp. The first major proposal was the practice of pennant shooting, a traditional archery discipline that is performed at long distances. “A flag is placed and the ground is marked to determine the distance. We shot at 80 meters and the boys tried to hit as close to the flag as possible,” Campos explained.
The night continued with a shared dinner between students, instructors and some accompanying parents, followed by night games.
On Sunday morning, the participants began a multitarget course, a modality in which different types of targets are shot without knowing the exact distance. “We set up patrols with the boys and traveled several laps of the circuit that we had prepared,” he said.
Around noon a special activity was held for families: archery baptism classes for parents. “They were very happy to share with their children; in some cases the children themselves were the ones who taught their parents, always with our help,” Campos highlighted. They then shared a lunch and a recreational afternoon to formally close the year.
Advances in infrastructure
Campos also reported on the progress of the works on the club property. “We have already managed to finish two bathrooms, which are in operation and are the main thing to be able to enjoy the activity. Now we are moving forward with the construction of a room measuring approximately 10 by 20 meters. We have already laid the foundations and the columns have begun to rise,” he said.
Walter Torres, representing the municipality, and Milton Reyes, from Chubut Deportes, were present during the day, accompanying the institutional development of the club.
The new multipurpose room aims to strengthen sports activity and expand the proposals of the Andino Patagónico Archery Club, “thinking about how to give more movement and life to the club, in addition to the specifics of our sport,” Campos concluded.
