Andalusia Badminton: CESA Bronze Medal Win

This morning the Andalusian National Team played its momentous match against Madrid for third and fourth place in this CESA Absolute 2025, a match in which the Andalusians managed to emerge victorious, beating the Community of Madrid 3-0. In addition, Mariola Rus, General Director of Sports Systems and Values ​​of the Junta de Andalucía, has also been present at this meeting supporting the Andalusian National Team, to whom we thank her for her support on this important day for Andalusian badminton as it hosts the Spanish Championships for Autonomous National Teams Absolute 2025.

The clash began with the victory in the DX of Jesús de Burgos and Rocío Martín against Alejandro Baschwitz and Sonia Martínez (11-5/7-11/11-5/11-5). After the initial doubles dispute we gave way to the two singles, Cristina Teruel managed to win the women’s match against Laura Primo in three sets (11-5/11-4/11-4) and Alejandro Pérez gave the victory to the Andalusians by beating Alejandro Baschwitz in five tight sets in the IM (4-11/11-8/11-10/5-11/11-8). With this final result of 3-0, Andalusia obtains bronze in this CESA Absolute, managing not to leave the podium in the last three editions held.
