Carlos Alcaraz he already looks new tattoo that he wears on his skin and is double with the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. The world number one assured that he would add both to his list of tattoos when he won the United States Open. It has been placed in the hands of Joaquin Gangafrom El Palmar like him and a personal friend, to add both to his particular collection.
The Murcian was proclaimed the winner in New York for the second time in his career – he had already been champion in 2021 – with the victory against the Italian Jannik Sinner on September 7 by 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 and 6-4. Alcaraz chose two of the city’s architectural and sculptural emblems to engrave on the back of his left arm.
This can be seen in the images released by the tennis player through his social networks after having been published by Ganga himself, who acted in Carlos’s shoes during the vacation that he enjoyed at home after having finished a demanding and successful tennis season -71 victories in 80 matches and eight titles, including that US Open and the Roland Garros tournament.
In this way, the ATP leader fulfilled what has already become a tradition, that of immortalizing on his body the great achievements achieved on the courts. He did the same thing in different parts of his anatomy with his first title in the American “Grand Slam” -the date 09-11-2021- and also when it was released as champion at Roland Garros -the Eiffel Tower and the date 06-09-2024- and in Wimbledon -a strawberry with 07-16-2023-.
It also has the three “Cs” in allusion to the phrase that his paternal grandfather coined when giving him infallible advice to manage both in life and in tennis: head, heart and balls.
