Meanwhile, the total number of athletes participating in the competition was 52 students from that school. Regular training through extracurricular programs is one of the keys to achieving the highest qualifications and dominating the national KU-12 sector.
Djarum Foundation sports services program director Yoppy Rosimin said the second series saw a significant increase in the number of participants compared to the first series.
«Only 428 athletes attended the first series, while 863 athletes attended the second series. “This is clear proof that the interest and enthusiasm of young Indonesian archers continues to grow positively,” he said.
The participants came from different school levels, including 25 Ibtidaiyah madrasas (MI), 151 primary schools (SD), 12 Tsanawiyah madrasas (MT), 47 secondary schools (SMP) from Central Java, East Java and DIY.
According to Yoppy, the continuation of the MilkLife Archery Challenge program is part of the commitment to strengthen the early childhood archery ecosystem in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris was also present and expressed his gratitude for holding the championship in the Kudus area as it can be a space of learning and character development for young athletes embarking on the path of achievement.
«This championship is also an opportunity for children to compete and train to travel the path of achievement. The Kudus Regency Government is ready to support the development of athletes so that they can perform at the national and international level,” said Sam’ani Intakoris after presenting the awards during the Winners’ Honor Ceremony (UPP) at the Supersoccer Arena Rendeng, Kudus.
Muhammad Keanu Refi Atallah of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ngaglik Sleman, who won the gold medal in the KU 15 men’s national category, admitted that he was happy even though he was nervous because his opponent was tall due to his age in high school.
«But in the end I was able to control myself and stay focused after losing points. This is also inseparable from the results of routine training and the coach’s guidance,” he said.
